Human rights minister takes ‘notice’ of alleged harassment

Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari has ‘taken notice’ of women harassment issues reportedly in two educational institutions of the Punjab capital Lahore.

In a tweet, the minister said she has taken ‘note of serious harassment allegations of young girls and women at educational institutions – most recently at two premier private institutions in Lahore.

The helpline 1099 is available for complaints and for help and all the regional offices have been alerted on this issue, she added.
