Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif’s interim bail extended till July 7

The Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday extended interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in assets beyond means and money laundering case till July 7, 24NewsHD TV channel.
Shehbaz Sharif's interim bail application was heard in the Lahore High Court and the court has accepted the request to exempt Shehbaz Sharif from appearing in person in today's court proceeding.
The LHC has directed PML-N President to undergo COVId-19 test on 2nd July (Thursday).
Earlier, Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench extended interim bail of Opposition Leader in National Assembly Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in assets beyond means and money laundering case till June 29.
The bench comprising Justice Aalia Neelum and Justice Muhammad Tariq Abbasi passed the orders while hearing a pre-arrest bail petition filed by Shehbaz Sharif.
Advocate Amjad Pervaiz on behalf of Shehbaz Sharif argued that the LHC granted interim bail to his client against Rs 500,000 surety bonds and Shehbaz Sharif was scheduled to appear for signing the bonds on June 11 but he could not appear after being infected with the coronavirus.
