PP38 by-polls: PML-N MNA fined Rs49,000, CM aide served warning notice

The election commission took action against lawmakers for violating code of conduct, 24 NewsHD reported on Tuesday.

The commission imposed Rs49,000 fine on PML-N MNA Armaghan Subhani. The district monitoring officer fined the lawmaker for violating code of conduct and directed him to submit the fine within three days.

According to a notification, legal action will be taken if the lawmakers fails to abide by the directives.

The election commission also issued warning notice to Punjab CM special aide Firdous Ashiq Awan.

Firdous has assured the commission of being careful next time. By-election in PP 38 has been scheduled to be held on July 28.
