Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) called for an inquiry into the ‘countrywide’ gas crisis, alleging it is due to the mismanagement and incompetence of the incumbent government, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PPP Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman on Tuesday said that the government's incompetence and mismanagement has led to the severe gas crisis across the country and this summer gas crisis is a testament to the incompetence of this government.
She claimed that various industries along with CNG stations are being closed across the country due to the ongoing gas crisis. “The LNG terminal will be closed till July 6 and this ‘incompetent’ government could not repair terminal on time,” Sherry Rehman said.
She questioned that this government will also put responsibility for the delay in repair of the terminal on the previous governments as well.
Sherry Rehman demanded an inquiry into the gas crisis as the crisis has become a cause of electricity load shedding as well.
She alleged that the government first creates a crisis and then takes advantage of the situation and the gas crisis is an artificial crisis just like other crises in the country.
