Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi Wednesday accused his own party of his last defeat in the provincial assembly seat from Multan in the 2018 elections.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed the PTI workers in the by-elections’ campaign in favour of his son Zain in PP-217 in Multan.
A seasoned politician from the southern region of Punjab, Shah Mehmood Qureshi was defeated by an independent candidate Muhammad Salman in Punjab Assembly's constituency PP-217 Multan VII in 2018.
The PTI leader said his own party conspired against him in the 2018 elections and he has blatantly told Kaptan Imran Khan about the reason behind losing his provincial seat from Multan city.
As well as he has also made a realization to party chairman Imran Khan that the situation that emerged in Punjab now would not be the same if he had been elected an MPA from PP-217 Multan in 2018.
He made a wake-up call for the voters of PP-217 and said many people have suggested to him not to field son Zain in the by-elections as his defeat would be considered very disrespectful but he believes some wars are not just to win.
