Eid message: Asif Ali Zardari calls for concerted efforts to cope with challenges

Former president Asif Ali Zardari' has laid stress on joint efforts to cope with challenges being faced by the country.

“We all have to work together to eradicate poverty, ignorance and intolerance from the country,” the Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairperson insisted in his message on Eidul Azha.

He stressed the need for renewing the resolve to get rid of extremism and promote tolerance and harmony.

“Elements who use religion for nefarious purposes must be discouraged.”

He laid emphasis on sharing happiness with the poor and less-privileged segments of society.

“The poor and economically weak persons should also be remembered on Eid. Kashmiri brothers, sisters and children bearing Indian oppression should be remembered.  The families of martyrs should be remembered.”
