Senior politician and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Begum Tehmina Daultana was hospitalised after suffering from acute abdominal pain caused by appendicitis, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to hospital sources, the former federal minister was admitted to Polyclinic Hospital in Islamabad, where she underwent emergency surgery.

She was brought to the hospital earlier after complaining of severe pain, which was diagnosed as appendix-related complications.
