16-year-old girl gang-raped in Chunian

Police registered a first information report (FIR) on behalf of the father of a 16-year-old girl who was gang-raped in Chunian, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The incident took place in the Zaheerabad residential area of Chunian. In the FIR, the father of the girl nominated three accused who were later identified as Nadeem, Faisal and Nayla Faisal.

The mother of the victim said that one of the accused, Nayla Faisal, phoned her daughter and invited her to his house, where the two accused, Nadeem and Faisal, took her to an unknown house and raped her.

Police said that a CCTV footage also surfaced, which showed that all the accused escaped after leaving the victim at a private hospital in a serious health condition.

The medical report also confirmed that accused Nadeem had raped the victim. City police registered a case no. 655/26 and started an investigation.

The mother of the victim girl appealed to Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz and Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Punjab to take notice of the incident and provide them justice at the earliest.
