Govt notifies retirement of PSP officers from SP to IG rank

The federal government on Monday issued retirement notifications for several officers of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), ranging from SP to inspector general rank, who are set to retire upon attaining the prescribed age of superannuation.

According to separate notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Grade-22 Police Service officer Ameer Ahmed Sheikh, serving as Member (In-Charge) at the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat Regional Office Karachi, will retire on December 14, 2026.

Another Grade-22 officer, Muhammad Shahzad Sultan, Chief Instructor at the National School of Public Policy, Lahore, will retire from government service on December 29, 2026.

Among Grade-21 officers, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Aamir Zulfiqar Khan will retire on July 7, 2026, while OSD Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir is scheduled to retire on August 21, 2026.

The Establishment Division also notified that Grade-20 officer Afzal Mehmood Butt, currently serving at the National Anti-Money Laundering and CFT Authority, will retire on August 7, 2026.

Among Grade-19 officers, Gul Wali Khan, serving under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, will retire on December 26, 2026. Dr. Zain Ali Sheikh, serving in the Balochistan government, will retire on September 21, 2026, while Ali Sher Jakhrani, posted in the Sindh government, will retire on August 12, 2026. Javed Ahmed Baloch, serving under the Punjab government, is scheduled to retire on August 3, 2026.

The notifications further state that several Grade-18 officers serving in the Punjab government will also retire during 2026. These include Muzammil Hussain on July 11, Naveed Irshad on August 2, Raza Safdar Kazmi on August 19, Farooq Ahmed Anwar on August 31, Tanveer Ahmed Malik on September 28, Muhammad Saleem Chughtai on November 6 and Abdul Waheed on December 17.

In addition, Grade-18 Police Service officer Mahmood Hussain Sameer, serving under the Sindh government, will retire on December 30, 2026.

According to the Establishment Division, all the officers will retire after completing the prescribed age of government service.
