Most-wanted dacoit Ijaz Ali killed in Nawabshah police encounter

A notorious dacoit who was wanted by the police in more than 16 criminal cases was gunned down during a police encounter in Nawabshah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of the B Section Police Station in Nawabshah. Dacoit Ijaz Ali was involved in the murder of policeman Allah Dino Solangi and multiple other criminal cases.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Noor Channa said that a police team was on a routine patrol when suddenly they came face-to-face with the dacoits.

After noticing the police team, the dacoits opened fire. During heavy exchange of fire, one dacoit, Ijaz Ali, son of Ali Khan Chandio, was killed, and his other three accomplices escaped from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.

Police also recovered illegal weapons from the possession of the dacoit. SSP lauded the outstanding performance shown by the police and announced a reward for the entire police team.

He said that dacoits have to pay the price for their crimes and no one will be allowed to take the law into their hands.
