Death toll 14 as coronavirus cases reach 1,526 in Pakistan

The death toll from coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan climbed to 13 on Sunday as two more people including an 82-year-old man succumbed to the deadly disease in Karachi.
This was the second death from coronavirus in Sindh where so far 481 people have been affected by the disease.
The man was brought to a hospital in Karachi two days ago. After his death, his family members have also been put in a quarantine centre as a precautionary measure.
As the province entered the seventh day of the lockdown, the provincial government has further tightened the restrictions on the movement of the people. Over 1100 people have been arrested in Karachi for violating the lockdown.
The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has now reached 1526 with most of the cases recorded in Punjab at 565.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has so far registered 188 cases, Balochistan has 138, Gilgit Baltistan 107, Federal Capital 39 and Azad Kashmir 2.
