CJ LHC seeks report on Imran Khan's security concerns in Adiala Jail

Chief Jusitce of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan has asked the Advocate General of Punjab (AGP) Khalid Ishaq to submit a report on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan's security concerns in Adiala Jail.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the LHC Chief Justice on Friday heard the petition filed on behalf of PTI Lawyers Forum (PLF) President Afzal Azim to provide full security to Imran Khan in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
AGP Khalid Ishaq appeared before the court on Friday and objected to the admissibility of the application and requested to turn down it but the Chief Justice said that despite the objection on the petition, he will ask for a report on the security concerns of the PTI founder. The Chief Justice gave Advocate General Khalid Ishaq time till April 3 to sumbit the report.
The PLF president made the federal government and the home department of Punjab parties in the petition and it is stated that the jail authorities have banned the meetings of the PTI founder in the jail due to security concerns. He added that the life of PTI Founder Imran Khan is in danger in jail so an order should be given to provide full protection to the life of him.
