Akshaye Khanna’s first ‘SHUKRACHARYA LOOK' dropped on his birthday by filmmaker
Fans of Akshaye Khanna were treated to an exciting birthday surprise as filmmaker Prasanth Varma unveiled the actor’s first look from the upcoming Telugu superhero film Mahakali.
The reveal, shared on Khanna’s birthday showcases the actor in his role as the legendary Asura guru Shukracharya, marking his highly anticipated debut in Telugu cinema.
Alongside the sneak peek, Prasanth Varma posted a heartfelt message on X, praising Khanna’s talent and screen presence: “Happy Birthday #AkshayeKhanna sir, a true actor whose talent speaks louder than words. The post not only celebrated Khanna’s birthday but also gave fans a first glimpse of his striking transformation for the role.
Directed by Puja Kolluru, Mahakali is part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), which also includes Hanu-Man (2024), its upcoming sequel Jai Hanuman, and the in-development project Adhira.
The film centers around a female superhero, with Khanna’s portrayal of Shukracharya adding a pivotal and intriguing layer to the story.
Beyond Mahakali, he is also set to star in Siddharth P. Malhotra’s Ikka, where he reportedly plays the main antagonist, sharing the screen with Sunny Deol, Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, and Sanjeeda Shaikh.
