Five including three kids die in roof collapse incidents in Lahore and Bannu
Five people, including kids, lost their lives, and four became seriously injured in two different incidents when the roofs of their houses collapsed in Bannu and Lahore, reported 24News HD TV Channel on Sunday.
According to the channel report, the first incident took place in the Badami Bagh area of Lahore, in which two people were killed, and the other two became critically injured during the rain, which continued all night in the city.
The Rescue 1122 team received a call about the roof of a house on Street No 11 in the Zafar Park area of Badami Bagh collapsing.
The roof was built with TR Guards. On arrival, the Rescue 1122 team retrieved the two persons alive under the debris.
The dead persons were later identified as Qasim Javed, 25, and Awais, son of Javed, 18. The names of the two injured women are Sabahat, 18, daughter of Javed, and 45-year-old Parveen, wife of Javed.
Later, the Rescue 1122 team shifted the dead and injured persons to Nawaz Sharif Hospital, Yaki Gate, Lahore.
In the second incident, three children were killed, and two were injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Bannu as heavy rains battered parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The tragic incident took place in the Warashmi Kalan Mandan area of Bannu.
According to details, five children of one Sher Muhammad were buried under the rubble of the roof.
As a result, his two daughters and a son died, and his two injured sons were rescued during a rescue operation.
Soon after receiving the report, the Rescue 1122 team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and injured children to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ), Bannu.
