Jirga resolves decades old bloody dispute between Nareja and Kalhora tribes

The decades-old bloody dispute between the Nareja and Kalhora communities in Khairpur has finally been resolved in a jirga, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The jirga was held at Dargah Pir Jo Goth, and prominent sarpanches heard the positions of both sides.
In the jirga, the Nareja community alleged that the Kalhora community killed 22 of their people and injured 15, while the Kalhora community claimed that the Nareja community killed their 31 people and injured 19. 
After a detailed hearing, the jirga gave an important decision based on evidence that the Nareja community accused of killing 27 people of Kalhora proved.
Jirga also found the charge of killing 20 people of Nareja proven.
The Nareja community was fined Rs80 million, while the Kalhora community was fined Rs50 million.
Partial payment of fines was deposited and paid on the spot by both communities. 
The final decision on matters of injuries and financial losses will be taken before Sardar Najaf Khan Kumari in Madiji.
