MQM Pakistan decides to intensify political contacts for constitutional amendment

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan has decided to intensify political contacts, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 
According to the decision, MQM Pakistan will contact various political parties regarding the 28th Constitutional Amendment and will seek support for Article 140A in the 28th Amendment to make local government bodies autonomous.
According to sources, the bill prepared by MQM Pakistan regarding Article 140A will be presented to political parties.
MQM Pakistan will also hold an all-party conference regarding the 28th Amendment.
MQM Pakistan and PML-N had reached an agreement to implement Article 140A before forming the government.
MQM has also demanded the implementation of Article 140A in its meeting with the prime minister of Pakistan yesterday.
