The MUMMY 4 brings back original trio for new adventure

Fans of The Mummy franchise are in for a thrilling treat as John Hannah officially returns to the series, reuniting with original stars Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz for the fourth instalment.

Hannah will reprise his iconic role as Jonathan Carnahan, the witty and opportunistic sibling whose charm has made him a fan favourite since the 1999 classic. The announcement has sent excitement levels soaring among fans eagerly awaiting another adventure-filled chapter.

Slated for a May 19, 2028 release, The Mummy 4 promises to blend the franchise’s signature mix of action, suspense, and supernatural thrills. While the plot remains under wraps, insiders suggest that the film will honour the spirit of the original trilogy while introducing fresh twists and stunning visuals that will captivate both long-time followers and new audiences.

The project is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the creative duo behind several recent suspense and thriller hits.

The screenplay is penned by David Coggeshall, and original producer Sean Daniel is returning to oversee the production alongside a skilled creative team. Brendan Fraser also steps in as an executive producer, lending his expertise to the franchise he helped make iconic.

Filming for The Mummy 4 is expected to commence later this year, with key sequences planned in London and Morocco, promising visually rich landscapes and immersive adventure.
