Justice Faez Isa submitted another application before the Supreme Court in connection with the presidential reference filed against him, raising 15 questions about Special Assistant to PM on Accountability Shahzad Akbar and others, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Former attorney general Anwar Mansoor Khan, Law Minister Farogh Naseem and Shahzad prepared the reference based upon ill-intentions at the government’s behest, said the Supreme Court judge.
He also requested the court to make the statement against judges made by former attorney general Anwar Mansoor Khan part of the main application and record.
Justice Faez requested the apex court to make all facts mentioned in the application part of record, saying both Anwar and Law Minister Farogh Naseem committed contempt of court.
The law minister neither opposed the February 18 statement of Anwar nor stopped him from doing so, says the application.
It added that the law minister termed the former attorney general as a liar and had been describing Altaf Hussain as another Nelson Mandela.
About the filing of reference against him, Justice Faez in his application questioned in which organisation and in what capacity the complainant, Abdul Waheed Dogar worked.
The judge also says that no information has been shared about Dogar’s place of residence and his family.
The application mentioned that Shahzad was made the head of Asset Recovery Unit illegally. It also questioned whether he revealed the assets owned by him or his family and asked if he was a Pakistani national or a dual-nationality holder.
Justice Faez described Shahzad as a fraudster and cheater who, he added, collected information about his family illegally.
Moreover, Shahzad has nothing to do with the present government as there is no office of special assistant in the Constitution.
He used the state and state institutions wrongly while the president has himself stated that the reference was compiled by the law minister and the attorney general.
The law ministry has mentioned in its reply that the summary was sent to the prime minister after consulting the attorney general.
According to Justice Faez, there is no mention in the FBR law that the details of assets owned by the independent children should be submitted.
