Former Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis and present-day bowling coach has quit social media saying his Twitter handle was hacked and an inappropriate video clip from his official Twitter handle was liked.

In a video statement, the former pacer announced that he has decided to distance himself from social media because his Twitter account was hacked and an inappropriate video clip was liked from it.

According to a video statement, Waqar Younis clarified that he was not behind that inappropriate incident and further said that he will never be seen again on social media. Waqar also said that this is not the first time that his social media account has been hacked.

Waqar further said this would be his last social media post and said social media or Twitter was a healthy way of interacting with fans but unfortunately this incident has ruined everything.

Waqar added that the hacker has not done this for the first time and his accounts have been hacked three or four times so he has decided to quit social media now. “I love my family more. You will not see me on social media after today. I am sorry if this hurts anyone." concluded Waqar Younis.
