PDM delegation visits Asad Toor’s house to show solidarity

A delegation of the Pakistan Democratic Movement on Saturday visited the house of journalist Asad Ali Toor in order to show solidarity with him, reported 24News HD TV channel.
The delegation was led by JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rheman. PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N VP Maryam Nawaz, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Mir Kabeer Maulana, Shahid Khan Abbasi, Usman Kakkar, Aslam Ghauri, Shah Awais Noorani and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari and others were among the delegation.
Asad Ali Toor, a blogger from Islamabad was tortured by three unidentified men at his apartment a couple of days ago. The unidentified men beat, bound, and gagged Toor inside his apartment
CCTV footage shows Toor struggling to walk in his apartment building’s lobby as passersby helped remove the bindings. The journalist said that his arms were bloodied and bruised in the attack, and he required stitches on his elbow.
The incident created an outcry among journalists from across the country. The journalists’ bodies held protested and urged the authorities to investigate the issue and bring the culprits to the court of justice.
