NEPRA holds public hearing on fuel adjustment charges for April 2025
A public hearing was held at NEPRA headquarters to review monthly Fuel Adjustment Charges (FCA) for power distribution companies (DISCOs), reported 24NewsHDTV Channel on Thursday.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA-G) had requested an increase of Rs 1.26 per unit in the Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) for April 2025.
The hearing was chaired by the Chairman of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
The public hearing was attended by CPPAG officials, the business community, and representatives of the Ministry of Energy, journalists, the public, and NEPRA.
CPPA-G had submitted a request for an increase of Rs 1.26 per unit in FCA. This will apply to all consumers of discos except lifeline, prepaid consumers, and electric vehicle charging stations. NEPRA said this will not apply to electric consumers.
The authority listened to the views of all the relevant stakeholders and said official notification will be issued after further scrutiny of the data.
