Truck loaded with solar panels looted en route to Okara from Karachi

A truck loaded with solar panels was looted while it was travelling from Karachi to Okara on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to owner Muhammad Ibrar, the truck was full of solar panels when it was looted.

In a video statement received by 24News TV channel, Ibrar claimed that both drivers of the truck were reportedly abducted. The empty truck was later found abandoned in the jurisdiction of the Foujdari Police Station in Shikarpur, he said.

The truck had departed from Karachi on the 23rd of the month, carrying 720 solar panels of 610 volts each with the total value exceeding 15 million rupees.

Ibrar further alleged that despite being present outside the Foujdari Police Station, the police were refusing to register a case. “We’ve been going around the police station for three days, but the SHO has refused to register an FIR,” he claimed.

He has also made a direct appeal to the IG Sindh, DIG, and SSP, requesting that his complaint be registered.
