Fog disrupts road travel on Motorway, GT Road

Fog engulfed in plain areas and disrupted air and road travel particularly on M-3 Motorway and GT Road, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP) Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed has shut down the M-3 Motorway from Faizpur to Jaranwala due to intense fog but later traffic was resumed upon suitable conditions for travel.
Also, M-1 from Islamabad to Rashakai has also been closed due to dense fog.
The Pakistan Weather Office predicted that continental air is prevailing over most plain areas of the country and mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, smog/fog is likely to intensify in plain areas of Punjab on Monday (today).
Monday’s Lowest Minimum Temperature (°C): Ziarat, Skardu -06, Kalat, Gupis-03, Astore -02, Kalam, Quetta -01.
On Sunday, Cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas.
The intense fog also disrupted air travel too.
