Firing on Imran: Accused Naveed handed over to JIT for 13 days remand

A Special Anti-Terrorism Court on Tuesday gave 13 days physical remand of the accused Naveed who is involved in the attempt to murder case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan during his long march at Wazirabad.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Special Anti-Terrorism Court of Gujranwala district handed over the accused Naveed to the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for further investigations into the firing incident on Imran Khan's container.
The channel reported that accused Naveed was produced before the Special Anti-Terrorism Court in Gujranwala on Tuesday morning and the court handed over him to the JIT on another 13-day physical remand.
Now, the accused will be produced before the Gujranwala’s Special Anti-Terrorism Court again on December 12, the channel reported.
Earlier, Naveed Mehr, the main suspect in the Wazirabad march shooting case, was produced in a special anti-terrorism court on November 17 and the court granted a 12-day physical remand to the JIT.
The accused was arrested on the spot on November 3 and the FIR was registered on November 7. He was produced before the court 10 days after the registration of the case.
