On UN request, Pakistan will allow humanitarian aid and food to enter Afghanistan: DPM Dar 

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has urged Taliban regime to look into the concerns of Pakistan and not to support terror outfits in its soil and expelled them out if they want to restore pace with Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

Addressing a press conference after completing his visit to Brussels and Middle East, Dar said Pakistan has not closed Afghan border in happiness, adding that this decision was made with heavy heart. 

He questioned why are all kinds of terrorist groups were living in Afghanistan. DPM said UN has requested Pakistan to restore humanitarian aid and food to Afghanistan. He said after talking to Army Chief and PM Shehbaz, Pakistan will allow humanitarian aid and food to enter Afghanistan, seeing the suffering of the ordinary Afghan people. 

He said this permission will be given on humanitarian grounds. 

Ishaq Dar, said he made 3 visits to Afghanistan with utmost sincerity and all efforts were made to improve mutual relations. 

He said Pakistan has also upgraded the levels of diplomatic missions in Afghanistan. Dar said there was is a long list of steps Pakistan has taken to improve relations with Afghanistan. 

He told Afghan Taliban that “Allah has given them the government in Afghanistan and Pakistan was ready to do everything for them, but now we are helpless”. 

Foreign Minister said Pakistan has carried the funerals of 4,000 martyrs while 20,000 are injured. Now how should I face these martyrs and injured. He said If Pakistan can teach India a lesson, then it was not a problem to deal with Taliban. 

DPM said Afghanistan issue was moving towards a full-scale action but Qatar intervened and the planned operation clean-up against the terrorists present in Afghanistan was stopped due to Qatar's intervention. Dar said Pakistan hosted Afghan refugees for decades. 

DPM said during the previous visit to China, Pakistan attended a trilateral meeting in Kabul at the request of the Chinese Foreign Minister. However, on the other hand, we have not seen any signs of improvement since 2021. Dar claimed that more than 4,000 of youth have been martyred in cross border terrorist attacks since 2021. 

He said during EU summit, occupied Kashmir, the Gaza peace agreement and hosting Afghan refugees were mentioned in its joint declaration. 

He said during Brussels meeting, EU and Pakistan wrote in the statement that the Afghan administration should hold constructive talks with the parties. Dar said Pakistan told the EU High Representative that Islamabad was returning Afghan refugees with full respect and dignity. 

He said during Brussels meeting, Pakistan held a detailed discussion on Pakistani immigrants. In a meeting with Joseph Skelela, the legal arrival of people from foreign countries was discussed. He said after many years, he met with the NATO Secretary General. The main purpose of this meeting with NATO was political coordination. DPM said there were 27 conventions on GSP Plus and Pakistan’s fifth programme is yet to be held. Dar said EU team has reached Karachi to hold discussions on it. Dar said more than 100 questions were received from the EU on GSP Plus. 

DPM Dar said that he told the EU that their view on GSP Plus will be very positive. He said GSP Plus status will be renewed in 2027 and a new format is being introduced on it. 

Ishaq Dar said delegations from 64 countries were present in Brussels. As a result of negotiations with the Hungarian delegation in Brussels, a memorandum of understanding for 400 educational scholarships was signed. As a result of previous talks with Slovenia, a memorandum of understanding was signed on the establishment of a mutual political consultation mechanism. Meetings were held with the foreign ministers of Denmark, the Netherlands, Singapore, Croatia, Poland, Cambodia. 

Dar claimed after Marka-e-Haq Pakistan achieved great respect in the comity of the nation.
