Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry Friday termed the TLP protest against Islam and said civil and military leaderships were on one page against it.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, he addressed a press conference after the National Security Council meeting and said the state would not allow the TLP for a violent protest at any cost.

Fawad said that there were 98 cases on the TLP head Saad Rizvi in the courts so he would be released following the legal procedure.

He confirmed that they as a democratic government believed in negotiations with every organization including the TLP like TTP.

The federal minister said the TLP protest was against Islam because it wanted to create anarchy by dividing the Muslim community in the name of religion in Pakistan.

Information Minister Fawad said mostly the people participating in the TLP protest had joined it as an ‘enjoyment’ but the state would not tolerate their non-seriousness anymore.

Fawad also warned the protesters that they should return to their homes and the TLP leadership also get back to the centre with workers peacefully if they wanted negotiations.

He said the government had witnessed Indian support to the TLP social media in the past and was also had an eye on the matter in the current protest.

The federal minister said his government wanted to handle the TLP matter in peaceful manners avoiding to do a clash with protesters. He also offered that his government was ready to give any scarification for resolving the matter in peaceful negotiations.

The federal minister said the NSC stressed in its meeting that the state was standing behind the security forces and if someone would challenge the writ of the government writ and state became in danger then they would react strongly.
