Man shoots his son-in-law dead for ‘honour’ in Hafizabad

As often is the case in Pakistan, love marriage became a crime in Hafizabad where a man killed his son-in-law, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to the police, a youth named Fazal had married the daughter of Nazar Muhammad in Kot Bela area of the district a few months ago, which did not go down well with the girl’s father.

And in order to punish the youth for his ‘outrageous’ act, he shot him dead , police said, adding that the body had been shifted to hospital while Nazar was in their custody.

Man sets his wife on fire in Hafizabad

A woman was seriously injured when she was set on fire by her husband in Hafizabad.

According to the sources, 38-year-old Shumaila’s husband sprinkled petrol on her before setting her alight due to which 40 per cent of her body was completely burnt. 

They said that the Rescue 1122 personnel rushed to the crime scene and shifted the woman to hospital where she was admitted to the Burns Unit.
