Gandapur faces arrest as Islamabad court issues warrants in liquor case

A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, in a liquor and arms recovery case, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday. 

According to the report, Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti presided over the hearing and directed the police to arrest Gandapur and produce him before the court on the next date of hearing.

During Wednesday’s proceedings, neither Ali Amin Gandapur nor his lawyer, Raja Zahoor ul Hassan, appeared before the court. 

Citing the former chief minister’s repeated absence, the judge ordered the issuance of his non-bailable arrest warrants. The court later adjourned the hearing until November 11, 2025.

The case against Gandapur was registered at Bara Kahu Police Station in Islamabad and pertains to the alleged recovery of liquor and illegal arms.

It is noteworthy that on October 21, 2025, the same court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Gandapur after he failed to appear for a scheduled hearing in the same case. 

Earlier, on September 24, 2025, the court had also issued warrants following his continued non-compliance with court summons.

It is also pertinent to mention here that on July 19 and July 29, the arrest warrants of Gandapur were also issued by the Islamabad court in the same case.
