SC launches first-ever quarterly Newsletter to promote transparency and public engagement

The Editorial Committee of the Supreme Court of Pakistan presented the first-ever issue of the Court’s Quarterly Newsletter (January–March 2025) to Registrar Fakhar Zaman in the presence of Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, at the Supreme Court building in Islamabad.

The Chief Justice commended the Committee for its dedicated efforts in compiling the publication, which reflects the Court’s ongoing commitment to transparency, reforms, and public engagement.

The newsletter captures significant judicial developments during the quarter, including public-centric, technology-driven initiatives, landmark judgments, institutional reforms, and national and international judicial cooperation.

Expressing appreciation for the editorial team’s professionalism, the Chief Justice observed that the publication serves as an important bridge between the judiciary and the public, offering insight into the Court’s work and reform priorities.

He emphasized the continued importance of communication, accessibility, and institutional openness in strengthening public confidence in the justice system.

The Editorial Committee, led by Syed Sibt-e-Hassan Shamsi, Additional Registrar Research, comprises Syeda Saima Shabbir, Senior Research Officer, Mr. Saleem Ahmad, Senior Librarian, Mr. Muhammad Shafiq, Senior Research Officer, Dr. Shahid Hussain Kamboyo, Public Relations Officer and Ms. Maha Jamal, Law Clerk reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the newsletter remains an informative and reflective record of the Supreme Court’s reform journey and judicial milestones.

The Quarterly Newsletter will be available on the official website of the Supreme Court of Pakistan for public access.
