Stating it categorically that she and her father, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif were enough to keep Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) relevant in the country’s politics, party Vice President Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday that she wished her father back to the country before December, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“Nawaz is sick and is currently receiving treatment in London,” she said and added she would not let her father to be handed over to the authorities in Pakistan.
She said it was her desire that such a system should be introduced in the country wherein everybody could get justice, and where none could ever attempt either to kill or oust a democratically elected prime minister.
PML-N vice president said there was no provision in the constitution, which provided for an extension in the tenure of the NAB chairman.
Making it clear that Zubair Umar would continue to serve as the party spokesman even after his objectionable video went viral on the social media, Maryam said she did not have people’s secret videos, and neither did she believe in blackmailing her opponents through such videos. “Moreover, Zubair and his children had been receiving threats for quite sometime,” she claimed.
