Finance Minister, German Envoy discuss boosting bilateral trade and investment

Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb held a meeting with German Ambassador Anna Lippel Monday to discuss economic cooperation and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Germany.

The finance minister expressed gratitude to the German government for its continued financial and technical support. He briefed the envoy on Pakistan’s improving economic indicators, the ongoing IMF review mission, and the government’s progress on structural reforms.

Aurangzeb highlighted that the government is working to provide a conducive environment for foreign investment and emphasized the Prime Minister’s vision of engaging the private sector in driving the country’s development. He assured German companies of full support and facilitation for their projects in Pakistan.

Ambassador Lippel underlined the importance of promoting bilateral trade and investment and reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Pakistan. Both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in multiple sectors to further deepen economic cooperation.
