MPA Ali Haider Gilani quits parliamentary committee on floods

PPP leader MPA Ali Haider Gilani, the convener of the parliamentary committee formed by the Punjab Assembly on floods, has sent his resignation to the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to his resignation, Ali Haider Gilani was going to Barbados for the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) while the committee has to complete its survey regarding the floods soon. 

Ali Haider Gilani said he was was resigning so that the work of the committee may not affect due to his unavailability. 

Syed Ali Haider Gilani also requested Speaker of the Punjab Assembly to appoint a new convener for the committee.
