The traffic accidents remain on the rise in Lahore as 253 people got injured in 232 traffic accidents in the last 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV on Friday.

The critically injured were shifted to local hospitals for immediate medical treatment.

According to Rescue 1122, rescue teams were dispatched to 232 traffic accidents in different parts of the city during the last 24 hours.

Out of the total number of 253 injured people, 109 critically injured were rushed to hospitals for immediate medical treatment. While the first aid was administered to 144 people who sustained minor injuries.

According to rescue officials, the accidents were caused by speeding, negligence and violation of traffic rules.
