MQM-P demands creation of South Sindh province

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Saturday demanded the creation of South Sindh province, suggesting making new provinces in the country on an administrative basis, reported 24News HD TV channel.  

The MQM-P staged a rally for the rights of Karachi and against the policies of the provincial government which started from Karachi’s Hassan Square and culminated at Shahrah-e-Faisal.

MQM convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui while leading the rally said that the Sindh government was a danger to the province. He said they had given time to the Sindh as much as they could. Siddiqui said, "I am inviting all those who are not with us today to join us for Karachi’s case.” He said that Sindh had received Rs 6,575 billion in the last 10 years, adding that Karachiites had awakened and the government had been given as much opportunity as should have been given “The 10 years of the PPP government are the biggest threat to Pakistan s security,” he added.

The MQM-P convener said that by imposing a quota system in Pakistan, Bhutto divided Sindh into urban and rural areas and used the slogan Here We Are (Idher Hum) to first divide Pakistan and then Sindh.

He said that the biggest problem of Karachi is unemployment and education and educational institutions of Karachi have also been taken hostage, adding his party is against fake degrees, fake domiciles, census, our doors are.

MQM-P leaders including Rauf Siddiqui, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Wasim Akhtar and others were also present at the rally which was attended by a large number of MQM workers, including women.
