PM-elect Shehbaz Sharif to take oath tomorrow

The swearing-in ceremony of the country’s 32nd Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be held tomorrow (Monday) at the President's House, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to scheduled, the swearing-in ceremony will be held on March 4 at 3 pm in the President’s House while President Dr Arif Alvi will administer the oath to the new prime minister.

According to report, invitations in this regard have been sent to relevant personalities.

Chief of Army Staff and other service chiefs, chief ministers, caretaker prime minister and governors will attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Invitations to Prime Minister's swearing-in ceremony were also sent to Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto.

PML-N party officials and others will also participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the prime minister.

It is pertinent that Shehbaz Sharif became the prime minister of Pakistan for a second time to lead a new eight-party coalition government after he comfortably won a majority in the newly-elected Parliament.

Shehbaz, 72, who was the consensus candidate of the PML-N and PPP received 201 votes in the 336-member house.

Shahbaz’s challenger Omar Ayub Khan of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secured 92 votes.
