With the spike in coronavirus cases, the Islamabad administration on Thursday decided to seal Sector I-10/1 and I-10/4, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
According to a notification issued by the Islamabad deputy commissioner, the decision was taken on the recommendations of the District Health Office.
In this connection, the administration requested the police, Rangers and Pakistan Army to cordon off the area.
The Islamabad deputy commissioner passed the orders under the powers conferred through Epidemic Disease Act, 1958.
A total of 313 coronavirus cases have so far been reported in Islamabad with many of them identified in recent days.
Moreover, only 44 people have recovered from the virus in the area, showing that the ratio is quite low when compared with other regions. But the reason behind this state of affairs is that 128 new cases were reported since April 20.
