PPP Co-Chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his gratitude to the people of Karachi on the victory of PPP candidate in NA-249 by-election, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday. 

Asif Zardari said he was thankful to the people of Karachi who elected PPP candidate in the recently held by-poll. He said PPP candidate Abdul Qadir Mandokhel’s win manifested people’s trust in the PPP. 

In a statement, Asif Zardari asked newly elected Mandokhel to serve the people in the best possible way. 

He asked PPP leaders and workers to brace themselves for the next general elections. He said labourers, farmers and students are PPP’s force.

He said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was steadfast in implementing the PPP manifesto spelt out by his martyred grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and martyred mother Benazir Bhutto.
