Dacoit who tortured female teacher during robbery held in Rawalpindi police encounter

One of the two dacoits who robbed a female teacher of valuables was held during an encounter with Rawalpindi police, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to police, they signaled two suspicious motorcyclists to stop, but the accused opened fire.

The police fired back in retaliation, leaving one of the dacoits injured whom the police arrested while his accomplice managed to flee firing shots at the police.

The injured robber was identified as Hamza who, during interrogation, told the police that the other accused, who made his escape good, was his brother.

The police recovered a pistol and a motorcycle from the possession of the accused.

It is to be noted here that the two accused robbed a female teacher of valuables and also subjected her to torture the other day within the jurisdiction of Waris Khan police station.

The injured accused was shifted to a hospital. More revelations are expected from him during the investigation.
