River Sutlej leaves trail of destruction in Uch Sharif

The River Sutlej continues to wreak havoc in Uch Sharif as several villages, including Sameja, Hassam and Dad Potra, have been flooded after Zamindar embankment was washed away, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

With no assistance in sight, the residents have been forced to move to safe locations on their own along with their cattle. 

Villages flooded, crops submerged in Chishtian

In Chishtian, not quite far from Uch Sharif, several villages have been inundated, while crops grown over thousands of acres have been destroyed after the River Sutlej burst its banks. 

Locals have said that now when they have lost their homes and their crops have been destroyed, they are shifting to safe locations along with their cattle.
