Mohammad Yousuf slams Pakistan’s poor batting technique after Lord’s Test defeat
Former Pakistan captain and batsman Mohammad Yousuf has strongly criticised the batting techniques of the Pakistani players who faced consecutive second Test losses in England, saying he had pointed out similar weaknesses several years ago.
Yousuf said technical flaws in Pakistan’s batting had been badly exposed from Bangladesh to England.
Few years ago I warned about this, but unfortunately some so called coaches around #Babarazam & other players didn’t allow him to work on issues that could have been easily resolved. That failure has dragged Pakistan cricket into the decline we see today.

He claimed that some coaches who worked with Babar Azam and other players failed to address the problems when there was still time to correct them.
He said Pakistan’s decline could not be blamed on coaches alone and called on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to improve talent identification, raise the standard of domestic cricket and introduce reforms to the country’s cricket infrastructure.
Yousuf said Pakistan had produced world-class players such as Imran Khan, Zaheer Abbas, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis in the past, but the national team was now struggling to produce a consistent supply of players of similar international quality.
