Members of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) suggested at a meeting on Tuesday that the party should take part in the by-elections as well as Senate elections. 

According to insiders, the Tuesday’s meeting was convened to discuss issues relating to the upcoming by-elections. Sources said that most party leaders were of the view that the PML-N should contest the Senate elections in March 2021 instead of giving other parties a walkover. They said the party should pick loyal and strong candidates for the Senate elections.

Sources said the PML-N would make the final decision on participation in the Senate and by-elections at the upcoming meeting of its parliamentary party.
