SBP directs banks to remain open until 10pm tomorrow for tax payments

The State Bank of Pakistan has advised all branches of commercial banks to observe extended working hours until 10:00 P.M. tomorrow to facilitate taxpayers in making over-the-counter payment of government duties and taxes.

According to a press release, the banks have also been advised to keep their concerned branches open tomorrow for as long as required to facilitate the Special Clearing for Government transactions conducted by NIFT.

Moreover, banks have been advised to ensure uninterrupted availability of their online payment channels such as internet banking, mobile applications, ATMs, and other digital platforms to facilitate taxpayers in online payment of Government duties and taxes.
