Sindh Cabinet approves Rs2.9 billion for promotion of economic zones

The Sindh cabinet approved an amount of Rs2.9 billion for the promotion of industrial zones and the maintenance of roads and the irrigation system in these areas, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

During the meeting, it was decided that Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will announce a separate package for other economic zones established in other cities of the province.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that Sindh Industries Department is working to strengthen and promote economic zones.

Syed Murad Ali Shah holds public katchery in 23 districts of the province. During these inquiries, the Chief Minister received complaints about law and order, police, the healthcare system, local bodies, water supply, roads, and the education department.

During the meeting, Syed Murad Ali Shah directed all departments to address these public complaints on a priority basis and submit a report to him.

He said that public katcheries will be held in the first or second week of January 2026. In case these complaints were not resolved, then strict action will be taken against the relevant officials.
