Terror financer who fled court still at large
FIA conducts ‘failed’ raids in Lahore, Quetta

FIA has appeared unable to hunt down facilitator of terrorists who had fled the court upon cancellation of pre-arrest bail on January 28.
Haji Khairullah, accused of providing financial support to terrorists, was on pre-arrest bail. He, however, fled the court after it rejected his bail confirmation plea on January 28.
Though FIA has conducted raids in Lahore and Quetta on suspicion, no headway could be made in the arrest of the man, whose name was included the UN’s list of terror financers.
On the other hand, various quarters in power corridors have called into question the FIA’s performance. They were of the view that had the FIA made foolproof security arrangements in and around the court the accused would not have escaped. They also accused the FIA bosses of negligence, saying that such an important accused managed to flee court in broad daylight.
Meanwhile, FIA intensified efforts to nick the accused at the earliest.
