World Leprosy Day: Tribute to German doctor for 30-decade service

German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck has paid tribute to Dr Chris Schmotzer, a German doctor and director of the Leprosy Hospital in Rawalpindi, for her dedication to her profession.

In a message on World Leprosy Day, the top diplomat took to Twitter to pay homage to the German medic.

Dr Chris has been heading the Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital for the past three decades, he tweeted, adding that she has been playing a pivotal part in the war on leprosy in Pakistan. 

“Dr Chris has set a beautiful example of Pak-German friendship,” states the tweet.
