A senior advocate namely Aslam Joya was gunned down by unidentified men in the Kasur district on Monday sending another wave of shock and anger among the legal community, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the initial reports, Aslam Joya was going home in his car when unknown motorcyclists opened fire on him near Mandi Mor. As a result of which, the lawyer died on the spot. The accused managed to escape from the spot.

Kasur Police with the help of Rescue 1122, shifted the body of the slain lawyer to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.

The police in its initial investigation said, the incident is looking like a targeted killing but the situation will become clear after a thorough investigation.
