The UAE president contacted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and expressed his remorse over the postponement of his visit.

However, the premier said that the safety and security of His Grace was more important than anything else as his life could not be put at risk due to inclement weather.

The UAE president was supposed to be escorted by JF-17 aircraft to the PAF Nur Khan Air Base in Rahim Yar Khan, where he was to be given a 21-gun salute.

From where, the royal dignitary was supposed to be taken to the Prime Minister House in Islamabad to hold a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minster Shehbaz Sharif.

Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Pakistan on January 25. PM Shehbaz welcomed him at the Rahim Yar Khan Airport. A meeting was also held between the two leaders in Rahim Yar Khan.
