Justin Bieber spotted for first time since news of upcoming performance at Grammy's
Justin Bieber has been spotted in public for the first time since reports emerged that he is set to perform at the 2026 Grammy Awards, signaling a major return to the spotlight.
The 31-year-old Canadian superstar was seen heading out to dinner on Wednesday night at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills. The low-key outing comes as excitement builds around his newly confirmed appearance on the Grammy stage, marking a significant moment in his career revival.
For the evening, Bieber paid tribute to the late Aaliyah by wearing a black tour T-shirt featuring the title of her 2000 single Try Again printed prominently across the chest. He paired the shirt with oversized deep indigo denim shorts and black boots.
Sporting a freshly buzzed haircut, he carried what appeared to be a laptop or tablet as he made his way into the restaurant.
His upcoming Grammy performance in February will be his first in four years. The last time Bieber appeared on the Grammy stage was in 2022, when he performed his chart-topping track Peaches alongside Giveon and Daniel Caesar.
As news of his return spread, his wife Hailey Bieber publicly showed her support. She reshared a joint post from the official Grammys Instagram account and CBS that read, "He's back. @lilbieber hits the GRAMMY stage for a night you'll never forget..." Hailey added two black heart emojis to the post and echoed her enthusiasm in the comments.
Bieber’s Grammy momentum has been building since November, when he earned four nominations for his surprise summer album Swag. He is up for Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance for his song Daises, and Best R&B Performance for Yukon.
Celebrating the nominations, Hailey posted online, "27x nominee! Let's go, baby," cheering on the singer she married in 2018.
Yukon quickly emerged as a fan favorite from the 21-track album, which Bieber dropped without warning on July 11.
Following the Grammy Awards on February 1, Bieber will shift focus to another landmark moment: his upcoming performance at Coachella.
In September, it was revealed that he made history by becoming the highest-paid artist ever booked for the festival. His seven-figure deal reportedly exceeds $10 million, surpassing Beyoncé’s previous record.
Notably, Bieber negotiated the deal directly with Goldenvoice, the festival’s promoter. A source close to the singer told Rolling Stone, "It's a groundbreaking move for a headliner, and it's something he built entirely on his own." The source added, "Between headlining Coachella and the success of Swag, it's clear this is the start of an exciting new era for Justin — one where he's fully in the driver's seat."
Because of his direct negotiation strategy, Bieber will not be sharing any portion of the deal with an agent, significantly increasing his personal payout and underscoring just how much control he now holds over his career.
