Sindh announces public holiday in educational institutions on February 4

The Sindh government has announced a public holiday in all government and private educational institutions across the province on February 4 on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat (15th of Shaban).

According to an official notification issued by the Sindh School Education Department, all schools and colleges will remain closed on Wednesday, February 4.

The decision was taken following a meeting of the Steering Committee for Education, which approved the closure in view of the religious observance.

The notification stated that the holiday will apply to both public and private educational institutions throughout Sindh.

Shab-e-Barat is observed by Muslims with religious gatherings, prayers, and night-long worship, and educational institutions traditionally remain closed on the occasion.
