Mishi Khan urges Faysal Quraishi to 'call a spade a spade' over Fahad Sheikh
Actress Mishi Khan has publicly criticized Faysal Quraishi's remarks on the Fahad Sheikh controversy, urging him to "call a spade a spade" instead of defending the actor's alleged behavior.
The controversy erupted after a video surfaced on social media, allegedly showing Fahad Sheikh mocking veteran actor Syed Mohammed Ahmed during a drama shoot. The clip sparked widespread criticism from viewers and members of Pakistan's entertainment industry, prompting Fahad to issue a public apology and present his side of the story.
As the debate continued, Faysal Quraishi also shared his views in a video. While appreciating Fahad Sheikh for apologizing, he described the apology as a sign of maturity, saying it reflected "barrapan." He also urged people not to target anyone's family or livelihood, stressing that criticism should not cross personal boundaries.
Mishi Khan, however, disagreed with his remarks and took to social media to express her disappointment. She argued that the focus should remain on Fahad Sheikh's alleged behavior rather than shifting the discussion to other issues.
In her post, Mishi wrote, "Please don't justify someone's badtameezi and sick humor by bringing religion into it. Call a spade a spade, please." She stressed that bad behavior should be called out for what it is instead of being defended or explained away.
She also questioned why Faysal Quraishi, despite being Faizan Sheikh's friend, had not openly expressed disappointment over the actor's alleged conduct. Referring to their friendship, she wrote, "Apne friend Faizan Sheikh par afsos nahi hua aapko?" suggesting that friendship should never stop someone from speaking out when they believe a friend has acted wrongly.
Mishi Khan's remarks quickly sparked fresh debate across social media, with users divided over her criticism.
While many backed her stance and said senior artists deserve respect regardless of personal relationships, others believed Fahad Sheikh's public apology should be accepted and the matter allowed to rest.
